About Oro Valley Martial Arts

Oro Valley Martial Arts is built on years of experience, consistent instruction, and a clear approach to training. Master Kim has spent nearly 29 years practicing Taekwondo and over two decades teaching full time. His focus is not just on developing martial artists, but on helping students grow into disciplined, respectful individuals.

Alongside him, Miss Jamie—who has trained since childhood—plays a key role in leading classes, especially for younger students. Together, the instruction team brings continuity and a shared understanding of the training process, supported by instructors who have grown within the program themselves.

At our school, martial arts is part of a larger goal. We emphasize respect, self-control, and perseverance in every class. Students are encouraged to focus on their own progress—physically, mentally, and emotionally—rather than comparing themselves to others. For many, the journey becomes just as meaningful as any rank or milestone.

We work with students of all ages, from young beginners to adults seeking better health, structure, and personal growth. Over time, we’ve seen students build stronger habits, improve confidence, and develop a more balanced approach to training and life.
